Springer Station is our attempt to share a piece of the Historic Brown Hotel with our guests! Built between 1920 and 1924 to service visitors from the Atchison Topeka and the Santa Fe railroad, the Brown has seen 100 years of American History and sheltered guests from near and far. We want you to feel like you are experiencing a piece of New Mexico history when you stay here, but with all the comforts of the 21st century…WiFi, comfy beds and even a gym! The weather is lovely in Springer, so take a stroll around town and see our friendly neighbors and the Santa Fe Trail museum. Take a ride to the Maxwell National Wildlife Refuge or to Capulin Volcano (one of our absolute favorite National Monuments). Keep an eye out for pronghorns wherever you go! Did you know their closest relative is the giraffe? And keep an eye on the skies. Northern New Mexico has the most beautiful skies, and you are likely to catch a glimpse of hawks, eagles and ravens!
Steven and Melissa bring a lifetime of travel and hospitality to hosting you at Springer Station, and we want you feel at home and at ease while you are staying here. Like it says in the song “And they’ll all want lifts to Brown’s Hotel, cause lots of them been been travelin’ for quite a spell!”
